Libermann Boys’ Secondary School Goba, Tanzania
Construction of a boys’ secondary school and kindergarten in Goba, Dar es Salaam, named for a founder of the Spiritans. The school is being built on a site measuring 6 acres, located 2.5 kms from a multi lane road from Dar es Salaam to Bagamoyo and accessible by a rough road to the school. The site of the school is about 20 kms from the city centre of Dar es Salaam, the commercial capital of Tanzania. The school will serve an estimated 800 children with 35 students per class.
At present the School has an enrollment of 120 students, all of them boys aged between 11 and 13 years old. Since it is a boarding school, all our students study, eat and sleep in the school with one month vacation at the end of each term. The school has two terms per year. In January 2015 an additional 120 boys will join the student body and the school is in need of funds to purchase 80 bunk beds and 130 sets of classroom desks and chairs for these new and present children.
