Nigeria

Father Samuel Udogbo, CSSp, is the project facilitator for the Alliade Women’s Income Generation Project run under the auspices of the Spiritan Province of Nigeria North East. New sewing machines and a designer machine have been purchased using a grant from the Houston-based Fatima Group through the Spiritan Office of Mission Advancement and a local contribution from local women. They will use the machines to make traditional African clothes, general tailoring for the local community, and uniforms for schoolchildren. Apprenticeships of six months with the guidance of a professional tailor are providing the necessary skills to create local tailoring businesses.
