Fifty-four brothers from various religious communities met at the Bolger Conference Center in Potomac, Maryland from July 20-23, 2018, for the 47thAnnual Assembly of the Religious Brothers Conference.
Br. Michael Suazo, C.S.Sp., attended this year’s gathering on behalf of the Congregation of the Holy Spirit. He has attended 38 RBC assemblies prior to this one.

Representatives from the Conference of Major Superiors of Men, the Conference of Major Superiors of Women Religious, the Religious Formation Conference, the Archdiocese of Washington Vicar for Religious, the National Religious Vocation Conference, and the Leadership Conference of Women Religious were in attendance.
Br. John Mark Falkenhain, OSB, a Benedictine Monk of the Saint Meinrad Archabbey, was the keynote presenter on the topic of “The Zealous Brother.”
On Saturday, attendees had the option of attending a sightseeing trip into Washington, DC, which included a tour of the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception and a driving tour of monuments in the nation’s capital.

At the banquet, Br. Jack Henn, GHM, and Br. James Siwicki, SJ, received service recognition, and John Pavlik, OFMcap, was honored as Pillar of the RBC.
Next year’s RBC Conference is planned for July 15-18, 2019, at the Oblate Renewal Center in San Antonio, Texas, with featured presenter Brother Armand Alcazar, FSC.
