Br. Michael Suazo, C.S.Sp. spent several days in July at the National Religious Brothers Conference held at LaSalette Retreat and Conference Center in Attleboro, Massachusetts.
This year's conference had the theme "Undoing Racism" presented by Sr. Melinda Adrienne Pellerin, S. S. J., sister of St. Joseph, Springfield, Board Member of the Federation of the Sisters of St. Joseph and Vice President of the National Black Sisters Conference.
They also visited local sites including Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral, Diocese of Providence and had a tour of Newport.
At the 52nd Annual Banquet on Wednesday evening of the Conference, Br. Michael was honored as "Pillar of the RBC"! Br. Michael "a faithful and steadfast member" attended his first RBC (NARB) Assembly in 1984 and, counting Assembly 2023, has attended 37 Assemblies!
In 1995 he was the Organizing Chairman for that year's Assembly. From 1995- 1997 he served on the RBC Board to complete another member's term.
