There comes a time as mature Christians when we must profess who Jesus is in our lives. In today’s Gospel, Saint Peter proclaims that Jesus is the Son of God, the Christ.
From day to day, Christians wear the Cross and try to live as Jesus taught but sometimes do not answer the question of “who Jesus is in their lives.” Many people do good things for others and do not profess Jesus as Lord.
When we make the profession of Faith that Jesus is the Son of God, everything we do must be seen through the lens of faith, and trust in God is always with us. The example of Jesus’ teaching and ministry must influence what we do. Jesus must be the reason for our hope and our joy.
Who is Jesus in your life? This question calls us to deepen our relationship in the Son of God. In other words, has Jesus’ presence made a difference in our lives? After a time, the difference Jesus makes in our lives begins to make sense. The more we understand who Jesus is for us, we discover true peace and hope around us.
