We are reminded to rejoice on this third Sunday of Advent. No matter the challenges or difficulties we face, we must be joyful. We know that God is faithful and is in control of all creation. Because we hope in God, we have reason to rejoice.
Joy is what happens within us. We must discover reasons to rejoice for ourselves. The coming of Jesus is one of those reasons. Our faith and God’s love move us to rejoice. Our happiness rests in faith and unconditional trust that God is among us.
As we light the third candle of our rose-colored candle, we rejoice to know that God gives us salvation. The third Sunday of Advent is known as “Rejoice Sunday.” What are your reasons to rejoice during this Advent? Have we prepared a place for Christ to be born again in our lives?
Do we even recognize Jesus’ presence among us?
During this season of joy, we ask Jesus to show us his face. In good times or in challenging moments, we must recognize that Jesus is with us. As John the Baptist cried out, we must prepare a way for the Lord. May the Lord come and change our world to make it better so that all people shall see the salvation by God.
