This Sunday’s Gospel reminds us that with a deep and patient faith, we can affirm that Jesus can make us whole again. Throughout the scriptures, Jesus seeks out those who are broken and in need of healing.  In each story, of today’s Gospel, the request for healing from Jesus is not just an act of faith, but a courageous one, empowering us to seek his healing.

Jesus is constantly seeking an opportunity to restore us to the best version of ourselves. Jesus offers a healing touch to all who seek him. Our suffering, pains and worries, when brought to Jesus, have the power to transform us, filling us with hope and optimism. God wants nothing but life and goodness for us. 

Each individual plays a crucial role in affirming Jesus as God’s Son.  In the gospel, Jesus brings a young girl back to life and heals a woman who has been suffering for years. This underscores our responsibility and involvement in our faith journey. 

A gospel song says, “Something happened and now I know he touched me and made me whole. What is it that we seek from Jesus?
