BENSALEM, PA
Holy Ghost Preparatory School installed the first lay President of the school, Mr. Gregory Geruson, Class of 1979, as part of the annual Mass of the Holy Spirit in a beautiful outdoor Mass in the picturesque Courtyard of the school. More than 700 people attended the inspirational ceremony which began the school year invoking the Holy Spirit to bless and strengthen the 475 students along with the faculty, staff, administration and families of the school as they begin another academic year.
Gregory J. Geruson, who was formally installed as President of Holy Ghost Prep, became the tenth head of school since its transformation from a junior seminary in 1959. A distinguished administrator and educator, Gersuon is the first lay president in the the school’s 118 year history. Earlier in his career, he served as HGP’s Assistant Headmaster for External Affairs from 1991-2001 and then Vice President of Institutional Advancement from 2001-2004.
During the eleven years following those position, Geruson served as Vice President for Development and Alumni Relations at St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia and most recently as Vice President of the Healey Education Foundation.
Geruson holds a M.A. in Public Policy and Management from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. in Economics from La Salle University. He and his wife Eileen are the proud parents of three daughters, Claire, Teresa and Catherine.
