We must live authentically where our words and deeds are connected. Our friends and family can often challenge us with the example we give. Jesus invites us to be an example of how Christians should live.

As we examine our lives, we can discover moments when we have said one thing and did another thing. Following the example of Jesus' life, we learn the value of humble, selfless service to others. In all our efforts, we learn to bring the love of God to others.

Jesus says practice what we preach.  Some people would say this means being honest with ourself. It means doing things for the right reason and not trying to impress others. In the end, we don’t want to feel like hypocrites.

We must put our faith into action. This is not easy. We must work at living consistent with our faith. Through our words and deeds, we authentically honor God.
