In this Sunday’s Gospel, Jesus calls us to discern what we will do with the gifts and talents God has given us. All that we have come from God. Do we put our energies in the service of others and the building God’s Kingdom?
We show how grateful we are to God when we share our gifts. On this journey of faith, we find reason to invest in what God gives us. No matter when God returns, may he find us sharing our gifts and talents.
This parable reminds us that God is always waiting for us. He wants to see what we will do with the gifts we have. We must use our gifts and talents. We find meaning in our service of God and our neighbor. Jesus knows that as we invest and develop our gifts and talents we can become a better person, a better community, and a better church.
God always calls the best out of us. God wants us to share in his joy. A little talent or gift can be developed to give God glory.
