Sierra Leone, the country hardest hit by the Ebola outbreak, has imposed a lock down in the country’s north in an effort to contain the spread of the deadly virus.
On September 7th this year, I had the privilege of participating in the ceremony which marked the closure of the 150th anniversary celebrations of the founding of the Spiritan community at Chevilly-Larue in France.
A number of months ago, the Spiritan Superior in Central African Republic, Patrick Mbea, appealed to the General Council to see if it could assist by identifying a Spiritan team that would be deployed to Bangui to respond in a primarily pastoral way to the chaotic situation of displaced people there.
