The Congregation of the Holy Spirit was founded in France in 1703, and till this day, the Motherhouse of the Congregation is located in Paris at 30 rue Lhomond. While there were no Spiritans among the casualties from the terrible events on Friday, November 13, 2015, the members of the Congregation working in France and throughout the world are united in spirit and prayer with our brothers and sisters negatively impacted.

The Duquesne University Board of Directors Chair Marie Milie Jones announced today that current School of Law Dean Kenneth G. Gormley has been chosen as the 13th president of the University. Gormley will succeed Dr. Charles J. Dougherty, who will retire on June 30, 2016, after a 15-year tenure.
