Last Friday night at Our Lady, Queen of Peace Church in Arlington, parishioners reflected on diversity and community as they sipped steamy vegetable soup and enjoyed Lenten-themed crafts — chatting and laughing while dabbing glue and snipping ribbon.
Rather than head for the beach and sun during their March Spring Break, 65 Duquesne students and staff embarked on Cross-Cultural Mission Experiences (CCME) traveling to Florida, West Virginia, Illinois, Ohio, Maryland and the District of Columbia to lend their time and talent to area food pantries, shelters for the homeless, and Habitat-for-Humanity projects.
