Fr. Cliff Hill, C.S.Sp. celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of his priesthood on June 7, 2015 at St. Agnes Church in Baton Rouge, LA. Ordained on June 3, 1965 by Bishop Dennis Durning, C.S.Sp. at St. Mary Seminary in Norwalk, Connecticut, Fr. Hill is currently living at St. Agnes Church which is the parish where he grew up.

The Spiritan United States Province gathered on June 15-19, 2015 at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh for their tri-annual General Assembly. Eighty-five professed and lay members came together from across the United States and abroad for a time of prayer, renewal and reflection on the Spiritan life and mission.
East Africa 1863: Père Horner lands in Zanzibar with Père Baur and two brothers. Nearly all the first con-verts are freed slaves. The idea of Father Horner is to put these converts in villages, where they can be taught religion, agriculture and a trade. Fr Horner surveys the mainland coast and decides that Bagamoyo is the most suitable for his purpose.
