We mourn the passing of Br. Valentine Thong, C.S.Sp., a Spiritan in formation in Manila who died on August 19, 2021 from COVID-19 complications. In 2020, he wrote the following reflection on the pandemic.

Today, the church celebrates the Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord. This feast commemorates Jesus taking his disciples, Peter, James, and John, up on a mountain top where Moses and Elijah appears at the time Jesus was transfigured before them.
