November 5-11 is known as National Vocation Awareness Week. It's a great opportunity to share what the calling of religious life is really like.

When faced with the question of final profession, I have been reflecting on the idea of vocation itself.

Seminarian Matt Broeren, C.S.Sp., professed his Perpetual Vows on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at Duquesne Chapel of the Holy Spirit. Broeren, will finish his theological education and be ordained in two years.

Please pray that young men and women hear and respond generously to the Lord’s call to the priesthood, diaconate, religious life, societies of apostolic life or secular institutes. 

Every calling to religious life as a Spiritan is different. Some people are called at a very young age. Some people are called at a very young age.

Having arrived at the end of my Pastoral Mission Experience (PME) in Perus, in the urban periphery of São Paulo, Brazil, I have begun to look back at what I did during my time here and what meaning it has for the future.

Matt Broeren, C.S.Sp. is at the midway point of his Pastoral Mission Experience with the Group of Brazil South West, in Sao Paulo Brazil, and on Friday, July 22, 2022, he renewed his Vows as a Spiritan for three years.
